Galle Fort is one of the best-preserved colonial fortifications in Asia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by the Dutch in the seventeenth century and today home to a remarkably layered community of heritage buildings, boutique galleries, artisan workshops and some of the finest cafes on the southern coast. This tour guides you through the fort’s cobblestoned streets and ramparts with an expert local historian, revealing the stories embedded in its architecture and communities, before continuing along the scenic southern coast to visit the historic lighthouse and the oceanside memorial church. Round transfer from Colombo or Negombo, guided tour, lunch and all entrance fees are included.
