Kalpitiya

A remote northwest peninsula flanked by vast Puttalam Lagoon and open ocean, Kalpitiya offers some of the world's finest dolphin watching, with spinner dolphin pods encountered regularly from November to April. The lagoon also creates ideal kitesurfing conditions, while surrounding sand spits, salt flats and remote fishing villages feel entirely removed from mainstream tourism.
