Horton Plains

Sri Lanka's highest and most ecologically distinct national park is a vast plateau above 2,000 metres with a remarkable concentration of endemic species found nowhere else. The signature walk leads through cloud forest to World's End, a sheer 900-metre escarpment and Baker's Falls beyond. Frequently mist-shrouded, the atmosphere is simultaneously bleak and deeply beautiful.
