Your Daily Path

Day 1 - Sacred Beginnings on the West Coast

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and head to the Munneshwaram Temple, a northwest coastal shrine. Continue to Manawari Temple before settling in for an evening of cultural storytelling that traces the epic’s journey as it unfolds across the Sri Lankan landscape.

Day 2 - Trincomalee's Clifftop Shrines

Drive east to Trincomalee and ascend to the Koneswaram Temple, one of Sri Lanka’s five ancient Shiva temples, perched above the bay and a site of Ramayana significance. Nearby Shankari Devi Temple adds another sacred layer before spectacular views across Trincomalee Bay end the day.

Day 3 - Spice Gardens & the Sacred Tooth

Travel through spice-rich Matale, pausing to explore a traditional garden where the air is thick with cinnamon, clove and cardamom. Continue to Kandy for an evening guided visit to the Temple of the Tooth Relic, with an optional Kandyan dance performance to close the cultural evening.

Day 4 - Hanuman's Trail & Sita's Valley

Visit Hanuman Temple in Kandy before ascending to Nuwara Eliya, where the haunting Seetha Amman Temple sits. Wander through the surrounding tea plantations and explore Nuwara Eliya’s colonial character before a restful late afternoon beside the still waters of Gregory Lake.

Day 5 - Trial by Fire & Ravana's Caves

Divurumpola marks the start of a day of Ramayana encounters. Ravana Falls and the ancient Ravana Caves, associated with the demon king himself, come before the sacred pilgrimage site of Kataragama Temple, where devotion and mythology converge in an atmosphere unlike any other.

Day 6 - Coastal Legends & Colombo Temples

Visit the wind-swept plateau of Ussangoda on the southern coast before transferring to Bentota for an afternoon of beach leisure. The day concludes in Colombo with either Kelaniya Temple, Vibeeshana’s legendary site, or the ancient Anjaneyar Temple, rounding off a layered journey.

Day 7 - Colombo Farewell & Departure

A morning visit to the Gangaramaya Temple, with its collection of sacred art and antiques. Browse the chaotic colour of the Pettah market before a comfortable transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport, departing with a sense of the Ramayana’s living presence across Sri Lanka.
