This tour combines three of Bentota’s most rewarding experiences into a single well-paced day, beginning with a scenic boat safari along the Bentota River’s mangrove waterways, a journey through a world of herons, monitor lizards, cinnamon trees, and traditional fishing communities. After the river safari, guests visit a responsible turtle conservation hatchery at nearby Kosgoda, where sea turtle eggs are incubated and hatchlings protected before release, and the afternoon is spent at leisure on one of the most beautiful beaches on the west coast.
