Your Daily Path

Day 1 - Welcome to the Southern Shore

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to the southern coast via the expressway. Check into a beachfront hotel near Bentota or Kosgoda and let the afternoon be about the ocean. A visit to a turtle hatchery, where conservation staff release hatchlings daily, offers a magical start.

Day 2 - Mangroves, Turtles & the Sea

Morning brings a river safari through Bentota’s mangrove labyrinth, silent except for birdsong and the paddle stroke. The afternoon is dedicated to kayaking, paddleboarding or snorkelling in the sea. Sunset drinks on the beach close a day that captures coastal Sri Lanka at its most effortless.

Day 3 - Galle Fort & Ocean Sunsets

Drive to Galle and spend the morning inside the Dutch Fort, a walled colonial city still very much alive with boutiques, cafes and the best bookshops in the south. A guided walk along the ramparts. The sunset from the fort walls over the Indian Ocean is simply unforgettable.

Day 4 - The Crescent Bay

Drive along the southern coast to Hiriketiya. Check into a boutique beach resort facing the crescent-shaped cove and spend the afternoon as you choose: swimming, paddleboarding the bay perimeter or doing nothing at all over a cold drink and fresh seafood at sunset.

Day 5 - Whales at Dawn & Hidden Coves

A pre-dawn boat departure from Mirissa offers encounters with blue whales and spinner dolphins (seasonal, December to April). Brunch follows upon return, then a guided coastal hike reveals hidden coves and sea-carved cliffs. A slow evening by the waves completes the day.

Day 6 - Lagoons, Birds & Beach Calm

A morning excursion by traditional boat or kayak through a nearby coastal lagoon, a greener side of the shoreline, herons and kingfishers in the reeds, and a fisherman casting his net. The afternoon at a coastal wetland reserve adds birdwatching before a final afternoon back on the beach.

Day 7 - Farewell & Departure

A private transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport. An optional stop at a scenic viewpoint or a favourite boutique cafe allows for one last breath of salt air and the quality of light that belongs only to Sri Lanka’s southern shore before heading through departures and home.
