Your Daily Path

Day 1 - Arrival & Forest Welcome

Touch down at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to a boutique eco-lodge in Kandy. Walk through the lodge’s forest trails and garden. The evening welcome session covers biodiversity, sustainable practices and an introduction to the upcoming wellness programme.

Day 2 - Cloud Forests of Knuckles

A morning trek into the Knuckles Mountain Range reveals misty cloud forests with endemic birds and native flora. Lunch is a simple picnic mid-trail, followed by a short waterfall hike or a quiet hour beside a forest stream. The evening at the eco-lodge closes with herbal tea and meditation.

Day 3 - Tea Highlands & Gentle Walks

Drive to Nuwara Eliya, introducing the island’s beloved highland landscape. The afternoon brings a guided walk-through working tea plantations and heritage garden estates, unhurried and restorative. An optional yoga session or spa treatment closes the day in the cool hill air.

Day 4 - Horton Plains at Dawn

An early start into Horton Plains National Park yields the morning’s greatest reward: the World’s End and Baker’s Falls, both at their most atmospheric before the mist lifts. Lunch is a trailside picnic before an afternoon of gentle rest, an optional highland spa and highland silence.

Day 5 -Haputale's Cloud Forests & Waterfalls

Transfer south to Haputale, stopping at scenic viewpoints along the way. A guided walk leads through the cloud forest and endemic-species habitat. The afternoon option of trekking to Bambarakanda or Diyaluma streams adds a physical dimension to the day’s gentle rhythm.

Day 6 - Safari & Forest Meditation

Drive south toward Udawalawe for an afternoon jeep safari through vast grasslands and wetlands, where elephant herds and resident waterbirds are almost guaranteed. Return to the eco-lodge as the day cools and settle into an optional forest meditation session or wellness activity.

Day 7 - First Steps into Sinharaja

Arrive at Sinharaja Rainforest. An afternoon guided trek in the buffer zone introduces endemic birds, rare butterflies and lush forest flora. After dark, a guided night walk around the eco-lodge reveals the rainforest’s nocturnal dimension, tree frogs, insects and the deep forest hum.

Day 8 - Deep Into the Rainforest

A full day in Sinharaja’s core and deep forest trails offers the most immersive rainforest experience. Learn about conservation efforts and sustainable livelihoods from local guides. A picnic lunch in the forest and a gentle afternoon waterfall hike complete a day of genuine natural wonder.

Day 9 - Kayaking & Village Community

Morning river kayaking or gentle rafting on Sinharaja’s tributaries. A visit to a nearby village creates meaningful interaction with local conservation or sustainable craft projects. The afternoon features a canopy walk or an herbal wellness workshop led by community practitioners.

Day 10 - Arrival at the Ocean

A morning drive brings you to Hiriketiya on the southern coast, a tucked-away gem beloved by those in the know. The afternoon is yours entirely: swim in sheltered waters, find a shady hammock or join a yoga, meditation or wellness session by the sea as the ocean resets your rhythm.

Day 11 - Full Wellness Day by the Sea

A full day dedicated to rest and restoration: spa treatments, sunrise yoga, guided mindfulness walks along the shoreline, or an optional surf lesson or paddleboarding session. The evening farewell dinner by the ocean, fresh seafood, warm light and the sound of waves are a graceful closing note.

Day 12 - Farewell & Departure

A private transfer from Hiriketiya to Bandaranaike International Airport concludes the journey. An optional stop at a coastal viewpoint or a boutique cafe en route allows for one last breath of Sri Lankan air before departure, carrying the calm of the rainforest and the sea within you.
